On Sunday, Vanden Bosch was added to the Pro Bowl as alternate. It will be his third Pro Bowl appearance; he also made the squad in 2005 and 2007.
"It surprised me and it surprised a lot of people,'' Vanden Bosch said. "But it shows a lot of people — offense and defense — still respect the way I play and the way I bring it. The coaches and players got me in with their votes, so that is a great sign of respect.''

It's here - Game week! All of our attention is on preparations for the Pittsburgh Steelers, the defending Super Bowl Champions. Every game is a big game, but this one seems really big. It's the first NFL game of the year and it's on a Thursday night so everyone will be watching.
I just finished my ninth training camp and my health is better and I am hungrier than ever. I have been working hard on improving all aspects of my game and am really determined to be a dynamic pass-rusher this season.
I am looking forward to our next exhibition game in Cleveland. I want to see us bounce back from the Dallas game, and start to shape up for the season. It's hard to believe that the season is fast approaching. We are all working very hard to be the best, and this time of year is always an anxious one as roster cuts are right around the corner. Let's go get the Browns!
