Titans Community Man of the Year.
Kyle Vanden Bosch was once asked why it was important for him to contribute in the community.
He responded then like he did on Monday, citing his three children. They were on hand at Baptist Sports Park as the veteran defensive end was named Titans Community Man of the Year.
Vanden Bosch is a finalist for the league-wide Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award, which will be announced next month.
"A lot of the charity events I go to, I make sure I bring my kids so they know that it was important to me," Vanden Bosch said. "They can see what a difference, one person, a group of people can make in changing a community and giving back."
Vanden Bosch was selected by a majority vote of Titans players and staff and local media and community executives.
His KVB S.A.C.K. Foundation has raised more than $100,000 for its partner charities, including the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and The Boys & Girls Club of Middle Tennessee. He was also involved with 3-A-Day Campaign, which encouraged children to eat and drink three dairy products a day.
